Privacy Policy
Overview
AudioDex (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a voice-powered trading card game price lookup and collection management app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain language because privacy shouldn’t require a law degree.
We built AudioDex with privacy as a core principle: voice recognition runs entirely on your device, your collection stays local until you choose to sync it, and we never sell your data.
What We Collect
We collect the following types of data from users who create an account:
Contact Information
- Name and email address (provided by Google or Apple when you sign in)
Account Identifier
- A unique user ID generated by our authentication provider (Supabase) to associate your data with your account
Your Card Collection
- The cards you add to your collection, including quantities, variants, and conditions
- This is the core data the app exists to manage
Portfolio Value History
- Daily snapshots of your collection’s total estimated market value, used to display your portfolio chart over time
Subscription Status
- Whether you have an active subscription, managed through RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchases
We do not collect: your location, your contacts, your photos or videos, your browsing history, your search history, or any analytics or advertising identifiers. We do not run ads and we do not use any advertising SDKs.
What Stays On Your Device
Several things never leave your phone:
- Voice recordings. Voice recognition is processed entirely on-device using Apple’s native speech recognition. Audio is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- Recent searches and voice session history. Searches and voice session results are not stored or transmitted at all — they exist only in app memory while you’re using the app.
- Guest mode data. If you use AudioDex without signing in, your collection stays entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively for app functionality:
- Authentication: to sign you in and identify your account
- Collection sync: to back up your collection to the cloud and sync it across devices
- Portfolio tracking: to display your collection’s value over time
- Subscription management: to grant access to premium features and process restore purchases
- Customer support: if you contact us, we may use your email to respond
We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, analytics, profiling, or training any AI or machine learning models.
Who We Share Data With
We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the app:
- Supabase — stores your account, collection, and portfolio history. Operates as our backend database and authentication provider.
- RevenueCat — processes subscription events and tracks subscription status. Does not receive your name, email, or collection.
- Apple — handles all payment processing through In-App Purchases. We never see your payment information.
- Google / Apple Sign In — authenticates you when you sign in.
- Scrydex — provides card pricing data. Pricing requests are routed through our server proxy and contain only card identifiers, never your account information or identity.
We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, or share it with advertising networks. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Tracking
AudioDex does not track you. We do not link your data with third-party data for advertising purposes, we do not share your data with advertising networks, and we do not use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA). The App Tracking Transparency prompt is not required because we don’t track.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and deletion. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@audiodexapp.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
- Sign out. Signing out of your account stops cloud sync. Your local collection on your device is preserved.
- Use the app without an account. Guest mode works without any account or cloud sync. Nothing leaves your device.
- Cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Cancel anytime via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data from our servers within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
Children’s Privacy
AudioDex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact support@audiodexapp.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission, encryption at rest for stored data via our service providers, and parameterized queries and input validation to prevent injection attacks. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date and notify users through the app or via email when appropriate. Continued use of AudioDex after changes means you accept the updated policy.
